This very culty piece of IT history is not a computer in itself but would communicate (in text mode only) with a remote mainframe computer - the sort of things that filled entire rooms. Lovely smooth curvaceous shape together with their place in computing history makes these highly collectable. The introduction of "glass Teletypes" like this which only became possible with the development of increasingly cheap semiconductor memory chips, rapidly brought about the demise of noisy, slow electromechanical printing terminals like the Teletype ASR33. This was recently dropped breaking the internal glass tube which is no longer made of course. So no longer practical, blank screen. [sigh] Please don't employ idiots or elephants to handle our props.
