Period 1960s Perdio transistor radio in wood veneer case

Stylish battery powered transistor radio from 1960 in extremely good condition for its age. This would have been one of the earliest transistor radios produced as it was styled in a similar way to the preceeding valve radios that were very power hungry and hard to make truly portable. After this, transistor radios were made more & more cheaply in less extravagant plastic cases until they became throwaway items.
