This was a popular American made multi-band radio receiver mainly used by radio amateurs for listening on radio bands from 10 metres to 80 metres. Many of these radios would have made their way across the Atlantic as, during the war, there were severe shortages of both components & the skilled workers to assemble any such equipment manufactured here. The tuning scales & signal strength meter are backlit with a lovely warm glow. Like many such non-domestic radios, it contains no internal speaker so should always be dressed with an appropriate external speaker or headphones. This contains glowing valves as well as brightly glowing pilot lamps for the backlighting. Opening the lid could produce interesting extra detail for your filming.
